Road To Sabah

My journey to Sabah.

Well I supposed to write this thing 6 months ago because I went to Sabah on January. If this story is a bread, it would have expired long time agoπŸ˜‚

So anyway let’s get started. When I arrived at Sabah, it was about 9.00 am, I took a flight at 6 am from KLIA. I waited for my friend for 30 minutes because her flight from Penang. Bear in mind, you need to present your passport/ic and you will get this pass. Keep it properlyπŸ˜…

After reach at Kota Kinabalu Airport, we straight away get our rent car. We booked a Produa Bezza Car, RM130 per day from  En.Ali, he was somehow my friend’s father acquaintance. The car was great, it was new with Eco technology, so we saved budget on the fuel. If interested, can whatsapp him on 0138080771.

After getting the car, we drove to Lok Kawi Wildlife Park. Well.. I’m really craving about animals, so I get pretty excited. They have bears,  savannah cat and some bird that I’ve never seen in my whole life. It looks like a penguin πŸ˜‚.

After that, we at at a nearby restaurant. During the lunch, I remembered a conversation with my sabahan friend, she said that most food here serve with soup. I found that interesting. Wherever you go or eat, there will always a small bowl of soup servedπŸ˜…. P/s: they call tomyum as tomyum soup.

Next, we checked in into our hotel, OYO 564 with the price of RM78 per night. On the evening, we went to Pasar Filipina. We ate a grill seafood and some seaweed salad. Bear in mind, if you take a lobster, it would cost around RM90-RM100 per lobster. Well my bad, I thought it was cheap πŸ˜’. However, the it was really tasty. So, I was happy in the end although it cost me more than RM100 just for dinner. We also bought some amplang and kuih cincin to bring back to Semenanjung.

The next day, we drove to Kundasang. We wasn’t really a good planner per se. But we got lucky when our journey was planned out nicely when we bought a ticket at Rumah Terbalik , that combined the places that we should go. So, we only paid once (around RM40) and we can visit all the place. So if you from Kota Kinabalu and want to back to Kota Kinabalu after that, the sequence should be like this:

  1. Rumah Terbalik
  2. Kundasang War Memorial Park
  3. Desa Dairy farm (exclude the ticket list)
  4. Sabah Tea Resort
  5. Tagal Luanti Fish Massage
  6. Chanteek Borneo Gallery (near Kota Kinabalu)
  7. Lok Kawi Wildlife Park (before/after go to Kundasang)

After all I think I will go Sabah again, only to view the sea. Most people said the see is to die forπŸ˜….

So that’s all, I hope I can visit Sabah again😍.

Having a Cat Diagnosed With Cancer and Diabetes

When my 13 years old cat, Comel diagnosed with cancer and diabetes around 5 months ago, I was devastated.  She has a lump near her breast, which growing so quickly. So I had her to take a blood test and medical check-up (in Sitiawan the clinic name Wondervet). But her blood test seems normal and the doctor said she was doing fine.
So me and my sister took her to another vet (in Ipoh the clinic name Jean Veterinary Centre) , for another opinion. Which she stated that 90% lump appear near cat’s breast is super malignant. So, we made an X-Ray. We found out that one of her kidney already non-functioning. Dr made an operation appointment date on 4/1/2019.  Before the operation we found that her glucose level is too high and she was diagnosed with diabetes. But we kind of disappointed with Dr Jean as she decided to continue the operation without stabilizing her glucose level first. The operation cost approximately RM1k++
The next day, she suffered with bad post operation where she vomited blood. We tried to bring her back to Jean Veterinary Centre, but she said her clinic is closed and we can go to Ipoh Garden Animal Clinic. Again, I was really disappointed with Dr.Jean. I mean like she literally dumps my cat after an expensive operation and refuse to take her back when she had a problem after charging us a 1k operation. I am not a doctor, but I believe my cat should have right to be admitted at least 1 day after the big operation.

Her post-op picture

Her lump test result came out as cancer

However, kudos to Ipoh Garden Clinic, Dr Ng for admitting her for 3 days, took care her glucose reading. She was doing fine until now, she has 4 new lumps because her last operation wasn’t clean enough clearing off the lymph node.

Of course, Dr Ng want us to stabilize her glucose reading and get her urine test before she undergo for another operation. I am able to maintain her glucose level where I took her glucose test for 3 days already and her reading was 7.4, 6.7 and 4.7 and I need to take for another day. Of course, I wasn’t a doctor or a nurse and taking her glucose level is really tough for me. Every time would be a blood bath as I either poke her ear too softly or I over poked her ear too deeply. I consistently apologize my Comel for hurting her.
Every time is a blood bath

Actually she looked so pity with a shaved ear
Her urine test came out last Monday, 6/5/2019 and the result wasn’t good. She had a blood and protein in her urine. I am devastated because she has been through so much. I hope that sooner she will get better. I must work harder and stay stronger for her because only God knows how much I love her. She is my childhood pet and now after 13 years I treated her as same as my family member. Because she wasn’t just a pet, she is a family.
